Wanted to Go to Cleveland Browns Socks

The Browns hit their fans with a blast from the past early Saturday morning, unveiling the franchise's 75th anniversary uniforms through its mobile app.
NFL rules will allow the Browns to wear the special uniforms three times in the 2021 season. The team will share more information during the season about when it will don the uniforms.
Here are some highlights the Browns have outlined about the uniforms:
Browns' 1946 inaugural season reflected
• The white jersey has brown numbers shadowboxed with an orange outline, paying homage to the team's inaugural 1946 season. The tops include the club's official 1946 patch.
White stripe evokes two Browns' NFL championship seasons

• The helmet design features a white stripe down the middle and a player's number on each side. The team's helmets were adorned with the white stripe from 1952-59, when it won two of its four NFL championships. The Browns wore numbers on their helmets from 1957-60 and on occasion in the mid-2000s as part of an alternate uniform.
• The face mask is gray, matching what the team wore from 1961-74 and 2006-2014.
• The team will wear its current white pants and white socks with three brown stripes and two orange stripes.

Honoring legends from Otto Graham to Jim Brown to Joe Thomas
"The Browns are one of those iconic franchises in all of sports, not just the NFL," Browns executive vice president JW Johnson, a member of the club's ownership group, said in a news release. "We really wanted to give a nice nod to the past and the players that have paved the way for the team we have here today. It's just a nice thank you to them for everything they've done for this league and for this team and for this city. We wouldn't be here without the likes of Jim Brown, Otto Graham, Lou Groza and Joe Thomas. We want to honor them. We want to respect them.
"We spent a lot of time going back and looking at old photos and the history of the team and working with our friends at Nike and the NFL to put this all together. At the end of the day, like we said when we went back to the uniforms we are currently wearing, we wanted something clean, iconic, traditional and something that would honor the team and represent it appropriately."

Browns digital trading cards available on team's mobile app
Fans who download the Browns mobile app and create a user profile may view the uniforms and digital trading cards of several players wearing them. Those fans can also purchase items from the team's limited-run 1946 collection, which includes the 75th anniversary jerseys, before it becomes available to others Tuesday.

Registered mobile app users who visit the Pro Shop at FirstEnergy Stadium will be eligible to receive one of two exclusive posters if they buy an item from the 1946 collection. Fans who make a purchase at the Pro Shop Saturday through Monday will also be able to take pictures in the stadium's lower bowl, where a field design featuring the 75th anniversary insignia could serve as the background.

Since April 2017, the Browns have donated all of their net proceeds from sales at the Pro Shop to benefit Browns Give Back's commitment to education and youth football. The team will donate 100% of its net proceeds Saturday through Monday to the "Stay In The Game! Keep Learning, Every Day!" Network. The program is designed to improve the quality of education for students in Ohio and promote the importance of school attendance.
